Job summary

Sprintsynergy is seeking a QA tester to join our team and ensure quality across web, mobile, and API applications for fintech, healthcare, and e-commerce clients. You will craft comprehensive test cases, execute them, and report results with clear evidence.

You will perform exploratory testing, validate complex payment flows, log defects with detailed steps and evidence, and collaborate with remote teams in a fast-paced Agile environment. AI-assisted test case generation is encouraged.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years hands-on manual software testing across web, mobile, or API applications.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum with sprint-based delivery.
• Experience with API testing using Postman including assertions and chaining requests.
• Experience testing complex business flows like payments, subscriptions, checkout funnels, or financial transactions.
• Proficiency with bug tracking/project management tools (JIRA, Linear, ClickUp).
• Basic SQL knowledge for backend data validation and verifying database state after transactions.
• Strong ability to write clear, structured test cases with preconditions, steps, expected results, and edge cases.
• Understanding of HTTP methods, REST API concepts, status codes, and request/response validation.
• Excellent written communication for detailed bug reports with reproduction steps, screenshots, and severity.
• Experience working with remote, distributed teams across multiple time zones.
• Familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini) to generate test cases and speed up documentation.

Responsibilities

• Write detailed test cases covering functional, regression, smoke, integration, and edge cases.
• Execute test cases against acceptance criteria and report pass/fail with evidence.
• Perform exploratory testing to uncover defects beyond scripted tests.
• Test REST APIs using Postman to validate endpoints, data, status codes, and errors.
• Validate payments, checkout flows, and transaction accuracy.
• Log bugs with clear reproduction steps, screenshots, screen recordings, and severity.
• Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing before release sign-off.
• Maintain and update test plans, test case repositories, and traceability matrices.
• Participate in sprint planning, standups, and test review meetings.
• Coordinate UAT with stakeholders and provide go/no-go recommendations.
• Use AI tools to generate test scenarios, identify edge cases, and speed up documentation.
