Job summary

First Citizens Bank seeks an experienced QA Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain production-grade test automation assets aligned with QA Center of Excellence standards. You will bridge manual QA and development using Java or C#, Selenium for web UI, and Appium for native mobile testing, delivering reliable, scalable automation.

You will define and execute BDD scenarios with Cucumber, build API tests with Rest Assured, validate data across back-end systems, and integrate suites

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years in Systems engineering and systems programming, or High School Diploma/GED with 10+ years in similar roles.
• Proficiency in OOP, mobile testing (iOS/Android), and automation tooling.
• Experience with CI/CD and defect tracking (e.g., Jira).
• Strong knowledge of Agile software development life cycle practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain test automation assets per QACOE standards.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Java or C#, Selenium, and Appium.
• Create BDD scenarios with Cucumber; validate RESTful services via Rest Assured.
• Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins).
• Perform root-cause analysis of failures and support defect resolution.
• Collaborate to define testing strategies and quality gates for enterprise apps.
