Job summary

First Tech Federal Credit Union is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to drive automation strategy and improve software quality. You will build Playwright/Python frameworks, integrate AI-assisted testing, and embed automated tests into CI/CD pipelines across API, UI, and end-to-end workflows.

The role requires 3+ years of Playwright automation, strong Python skills, and experience with AI tools. Located in San Jose, CA, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 4–6 years of QA in a technical setting.
• 3+ years hands-on Playwright automation.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Experience with AI tools and AI-assisted test automation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitLab/GitHub, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong understanding of API, UI, and End-to-End (E2E) test automation.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, designing and executing of QA testing within the Credit Union, including maintenance of a test script library.
• Review specifications to ensure testing coverage and address gaps with the PMO.
• Triage defects and manage the bug backlog; collaborate with development on fixes.
• Lead various testing: functional, regression, load, and UAT with automated tools.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright & Python.
• Create automated tests for API, UI, and end-to-end workflows.
• Mentor team members and report progress to supervisor.
