Job summary

Carolina Handling, a Raymond Dealer, is seeking a skilled Field Technician to service lift trucks and automated equipment at customer sites across North Carolina. You will diagnose electro-mechanical issues, perform installations, repairs, and scheduled maintenance, while delivering exceptional customer service.

Eligible candidates will have a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1–3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Background checks, drug screenings, and motor vehicle record checks may apply.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–3 years in maintenance, repair, or installation preferred; technical aptitude required.
• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics and electronics; read schematics and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting: identify and diagnose electro‑mechanical problems and perform installations/repairs.
• Customer Interaction: engage with customers to understand concerns and recommend solutions.
• Professionalism: maintain a courteous, businesslike demeanor with customers.
• Repair Work: execute repairs efficiently and address issues promptly.
• Scheduled Maintenance: perform maintenance per contracts and address repairs found during checks.
• Inventory Management: manage parts in the service van to complete tasks.
• Van Maintenance: ensure service van is stocked and maintained.
• Safety Compliance: follow safety guidelines for customer sites and protect people and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operations.
