Job summary

Carolina Handling LLC is seeking a Field Technician to service, diagnose, and repair material handling equipment at customer sites. You will interact with customers, perform installations and preventive maintenance, and ensure safety and quality in every task.

The role includes traveling to customer sites, reading schematics, and maintaining a well-equipped service van with a comprehensive toolkit. Training and advancement opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–3 years of related experience in maintenance, repair, or installation preferred.
• This includes reading schematics and technical manuals for diagnosing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting: identify and diagnose electro-mechanical problems with equipment, perform installations and repairs as needed.
• Customer Interaction: communicate with customers to understand concerns and resolve issues.
• Professionalism: maintain a professional demeanor and represent the company positively.
• Repair Work: execute repairs efficiently to address issues promptly.
• Scheduled Maintenance: perform maintenance tasks for contracted customers per policy.
• Inventory Management: track parts and supplies in the service van.
• Van Maintenance: keep the service van stocked and maintained.
• Safety Compliance: adhere to safety guidelines at customer sites.
• Additional duties as assigned to support operations.
