Job summary

Carolina Handling is seeking a Field Technician to diagnose electro-mechanical issues, install and repair equipment, and perform routine maintenance at customer sites. You will be the primary contact for customers, delivering professional service and timely solutions.

The role requires strong mechanical/electrical knowledge, clean driving record, and the ability to work in diverse environments with travel. We offer extensive training, safety focus, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Troubleshoot electro-mechanical issues and perform installations/repairs.
• Interact with customers to assess concerns and ensure satisfaction.

• Perform scheduled maintenance per contracts and policies.
• Track parts and supplies in the service van; ensure availability.
• Maintain and stock the service van with tools/equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting: You'll be responsible for identifying and diagnosing electro-mechanical problems with equipment, as well as performing installations and repairs as needed.
• Customer Interaction: You'll interact directly with customers to understand their concerns, recommend appropriate actions to resolve issues, and ensure complete satisfaction with the service provided.
• Professionalism: Maintaining a professional demeanor is essential. You'll represent the company positively, fostering goodwill with customers through superior customer service.
• Repair Work: You'll execute repairs efficiently and effectively, ensuring that analyzed situations are addressed promptly and professionally.
• Scheduled Maintenance: Performing scheduled maintenance tasks on equipment for contracted customers according to company policies and procedures, and proactively addressing any necessary repairs identified during maintenance checks.
• Inventory Management: Keeping track of parts and supplies inventory in your service van, ensuring that you have the necessary resources to complete repair and maintenance tasks.
• Van Maintenance: Ensuring the service van is properly maintained and stocked with necessary equipment and supplies.
• Safety Compliance: Adhering to customer safety and housekeeping guidelines when performing repairs at customer sites, prioritizing safety for both you and the customer.
• Perform any other duties as assigned or required to support the company's overall operations and objectives.
