Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Houston, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and specialized maintenance in an automated laundry facility. The role pays $25-$30 per hour and is safety-sensitive.

You will ensure safe, cost-effective operation of equipment and wastewater systems, collaborating with plant personnel and management to improve equipment performance. Responsibilities include documenting repairs in a PM system, troubleshooting automation and control systems, and maintaining

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required; additional training in plumbing, electrical, steam, controls, PLC, welding, and mechanical systems preferred.
• 2+ years industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience with electric schematics and low-voltage troubleshooting; controls, steam/boiler operation, hydraulics, pneumatics; safety compliance including LOTO, hot work, confined space; wastewater treatment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with General Manager, Production Management, and operations partners to support facility operations.
• Use computerized Preventive Maintenance (PM) program daily to document repairs, complete maintenance activities, and respond to equipment failures.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment with emphasis on automation and control systems.
• Maintain compliance with safety, environmental requirements by training, documenting, supporting wastewater compliance, and maintaining maintenance records.
• Perform preventive maintenance to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
