Job summary
Alsco Uniforms in Houston, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative and specialized maintenance of the laundry facility and equipment. The role focuses on safe, cost-effective operation and compliance with regulations, including wastewater and power plant equipment.
You will collaborate with plant personnel, use a PM system daily, troubleshoot automation and control systems, and ensure proper documentation. Prior experience and relevant licenses are valued.
Qualifications
- High school or equivalent; training in plumbing, electrical, steam, controls, PLC is preferred.
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience required.
- Skills in electrical schematics, low voltage troubleshooting, and safety compliance.
- Licenses in boiler operation and wastewater certification are beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with managers and teams to support facility operations.
- Use a preventive maintenance program to document repairs and maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment with focus on automation and control systems.
- Maintain compliance with safety, environmental requirements and recordkeeping.
- Perform preventive maintenance to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
