Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to support advanced automation systems for a major online retailer. You will work on conveyors, sortation systems, PLCs, scanners, vision systems, print-and-apply equipment, and SCADA platforms, driving uptime, safety, and operational excellence.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, a proactive mindset, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to continuously improve systems and preventive maintenance strategies.

Qualifications

Two engineering design cycles experience required.
2+ years PLC programming and SCADA-based monitoring experience.
Experience with robotics system components.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and modify material handling control software.
Ensure safe operation and regulatory compliance.
Oversee development scope and schedule with contractors.
Engineer process solutions from concept to implementation.
Communicate with stakeholders on timelines and impacts.
