Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking an Automation Engineer in the United States to support advanced automation for major facilities. You will work on conveyors, sortation, PLCs, vision systems, and SCADA platforms to improve uptime and safety.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred with 2–5 years of relevant experience.
Experience in at least two engineering design cycles including specification, component selection and programming.
2+ years of experience with PLC programming, robotics components and SCADA-based systems.

Responsibilities

Promote a safe working environment by complying with codes and company directives.
Troubleshoot and modify software for material handling control systems (PLC/PC) including Allen Bradley platforms.
Act as first level escalation for on-site and remote troubleshooting, including after-hours support.
Inspect systems to ensure operation within design capabilities and client specifications.
Oversee work with outside contractors, upgrades, and maintenance of specialized systems.
Engineer process solutions and reliability improvements from concept to implementation.
Monitor networks like Ethernet, ControlNet, Profibus, and motor control systems.
