Job summary
Amazon's Operations team in Memphis seeks an Automation Engineer to maximize equipment reliability and operational performance across fulfillment centers, focusing on proactive controls automation and technical support for MHE systems.
You will troubleshoot PLC/PC controllers, monitor performance, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and implement projects using state-of-the-art technology including conveyors, sortation, scanners, cameras, and SCADA.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of PLC automation experience.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Experience with Ladder Logic and PLCs from Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Codesys.
- Experience with robotics work cells and control systems.
- Experience with electrical theory, robotics, controls components and automated equipment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain automation systems critical for operations and serve as site expert.
- Understand, maintain, and troubleshoot material handling control systems and networks.
- Monitor MHE metrics and partner with maintenance/operations to address performance issues.
- Provide first-level escalation support for site technicians, locally and remotely.
- Perform and analyze building System Assessments to enhance system performance.
