Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Automation Engineer to maximize equipment reliability and operational performance in our fulfillment centers. You will provide proactive controls automation and technical support, troubleshoot complex control systems, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize MHE systems, implementing projects with conveyors, sortation, scanners, cameras, print/apply systems, and SCADA devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Electrical or Automation or equivalent.
• 2+ years of PLC programming or automation experience.
• Experience with ladder logic and PLCs from Siemens/Allen-Bradley/Codesys.

Responsibilities

• Serve as site expert for maintaining automation systems critical for operations.
• Understand, maintain and troubleshoot material handling control systems and industrial networks.
• Monitor MHE metrics and collaborate with maintenance/operations to address performance issues.
• Provide first-level escalation support for site technicians, local and remote.
• Perform and analyze building System Assessments to enhance material handling system performance.
