Job summary
Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an Automation Engineer to maximize equipment reliability and operational performance in our fulfillment centers. You will troubleshoot complex control systems, analyze performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement of MHE systems using state-of-the-art technology such as conveyors, sortation, scanners, cameras, print-and-apply, and SCADA.

Qualifications
- Bachelors or 2+ years PLC/automation experience.
- Flexible schedule including weekends/nights/holidays.
- 2+ years PLC-controlled automation and issue diagnosis experience.
- 2+ years of robotics work cells and control systems experience.
- 2+ years of Ladder Logic & structured programming (Siemens/Allen-Bradley/Codesys).
Responsibilities
- Maintain automation systems critical for operations.
- Troubleshoot MHE control systems and networks (Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus).
- Monitor MHE metrics and analyze performance with maintenance/ops teams.
- Provide first-level escalation support for site technicians.
- Perform Building System Assessments to improve material handling performance.
