Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Automation Engineer to maximize equipment reliability and operational performance in fulfillment centers. You will troubleshoot complex control systems, analyze performance metrics, and lead continuous improvement initiatives for MHE systems including conveyors, sortation, scanners, and SCADA devices.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, work with state-of-the-art technology, and support operations to ensure fast, accurate order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field or 2+ years PLC/automation experience.
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting automation and control systems.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks.
• Familiarity with site safety and production environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain automation systems critical to operations and MHE performance.
• Troubleshoot PLC/PC controllers and networks (Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus).
• Monitor MHE metrics and collaborate with maintenance to resolve issues.
• Provide first-level escalation support for site technicians, locally and remotely.
• Perform building system assessments to improve material handling effectiveness.
