Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Automation Engineer to maximize equipment reliability in our fulfillment centers. You will troubleshoot complex PLC-based control systems, analyze performance metrics, and lead continuous improvements for MHE systems, conveyors, scanners, and SCADA devices.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and support a flexible schedule. The role includes varied responsibilities to ensure fast, accurate order fulfillment and a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/EE/Automation or 2+ years PLC programming/automation experience
• Experience with Ladder Logic and industrial controls
• Experience with RSLogix5000/Studio 5000 and HMI/control networks

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot automation systems critical for operations
• Analyze performance metrics and drive continuous improvement of MHE systems
• Provide first-level escalation support for site technicians
• Perform building System Assessments to enhance material handling performance
• Work flexible shifts including nights/weekends/holidays
