Job summary
Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an Automation Engineer to maximize equipment reliability and operational performance in fulfillment centers. You will provide proactive controls automation, troubleshoot complex systems, and drive improvements across MHE—working with conveyors, sortation, scanners, cameras, print/apply, and SCADA.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, monitor performance, and support site technicians, with a focus on safety and speed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or equivalent.
- 2+ years of PLC programming or automation experience.
- Experience with ladder logic and programming from Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Codesys is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot automation systems critical for operations.
- Understand and support material handling control systems and industrial networks.
- Monitor metrics and collaborate with maintenance to address performance issues.
- Provide first-level escalation support for site technicians, locally and remotely.
- Perform building system assessments to enhance material handling performance.
