Qualifications

• Interest in automation, controls, or mechatronics demonstrated by coursework or projects.
• High school diploma or GED required; technical/associate degree preferred.
• Willingness to travel for required training sessions.
• Ability to read and interpret basic electrical or mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply safety standards (LOTO, PPE, arc-flash).
• Shadow and assist Automation Engineers with troubleshooting and maintenance of control systems.
• Support daily automation operations by responding to faults and performing root-cause analysis.
• Participate in preventive maintenance for material handling equipment and control panels.
• Work with schematics, software tools, and documentation to identify issues.
• Learn to interpret and modify PLC programs under supervision.
• Assist in system performance tracking and data analysis.
• Develop communication skills through collaboration with engineers and operations teams.
• Complete structured training programs (Amatrol Automation Fundamentals, Automation Essentials).
• Gradually assume supervised tasks and contribute to improvement projects.
