JLL is seeking an Automation Engineering Apprentice in Windsor, CT. You will learn to support, maintain, and improve automated systems in a fast-paced distribution environment, with a structured mix of classroom, lab, and on‑the‑job learning.

Expect mentorship, 12 weeks of related instruction, and 3600 hours of hands-on practice alongside engineers, technicians, and OEM partners. This role emphasizes safety, troubleshooting, and growth into engineering tasks, including PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and

Competenze

• 18+ with HS diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrated interest in automation, controls, or mechatronics.
• Basic computer literacy (email, spreadsheets, troubleshooting tools).
• Willingness to travel for required training sessions.
• Ability to read and interpret basic electrical or mechanical drawings.

Mansioni

• Learn safety standards (LOTO, PPE, arc-flash, safe work practices).
• Shadow Automation Engineers in troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of control systems.
• Support daily automation operations by responding to faults and documenting issues.
• Participate in preventive and predictive maintenance of material handling equipment and control panels.
• Work with schematics and software tools to identify and fix equipment issues.
• Learn to interpret/modify PLC programs under supervision.
• Assist in system performance tracking and data analysis.
