Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Edison, NJ is seeking a Mechatronics Junior Technician Apprentice to train in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining automation equipment in a Fulfillment Center. The program combines classroom, lab, and on-the-job learning, emphasizing safety and teamwork.

You will learn PLCs, robotics, and control systems while working with Automation Engineers and OEMs, with hands-on experience on conveyors and high-performance manufacturing systems.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• Must pass Mechanical Aptitude Test.
• Willingness to travel for 12 weeks to training sites in multiple locations.
• Basic computer skills: email, word processing, spreadsheets, internet.
• Basic troubleshooting skills.
• 1+ years of preventive/predictive maintenance experience.
• 1+ years of mechanical and/or electrical components experience.
• 1+ years of experience with compressors and pneumatics.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and work processes on the shop floor and at school.
• Shadow a technical advisor, use documentation, and operate PLCs/robotics in a lab setting.
• Learn to identify and repair malfunctions, perform scheduled maintenance, and prevent problems.
• Communicate with machine operators and ensure safe operation and adherence to safety standards.
