Job summary

Wabash in Kentucky is seeking an Electronics Controls Engineer Maintenance Technician to repair, install, and inspect electronic systems on the production floor. You will read engineering drawings, test equipment, and support daily production with preventive maintenance.

The role involves programming and troubleshooting PLCs, robotics, and vision systems, interfacing with suppliers, and applying SOPs. Training is provided, and a strong mechanical aptitude plus electrical maintenance experience

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of electrical maintenance experience preferred.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Basic component and assembly process knowledge.
• 1 to 3 years robotics experience preferred.
• Experience with Cognex, Banner, Allen Bradley and Keyence automation equipment preferred.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Basic reading/writing & verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and modify detailed engineering drawings and prints to adjust, test and repair equipment.
• Responsible for entering data in SAP PM (Plant maintenance)
• Program and trouble shoot PLC, robotics and vision systems.
• Troubleshoot automation manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic systems and servo drives.
• Interface with suppliers for maintenance parts
• Understand and apply engineering specifications, Change Orders, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Support daily production requirements.
• Support engineering project related activities
