Job summary

Wabash is seeking an Electronics Controls Engineer Maintenance Technician to repair, install, and inspect electronic systems as directed by diagrams and specs. Responsibilities include reading detailed drawings, entering SAP PM data, and programming PLCs, robotics, and vision systems.

The role involves troubleshooting automation equipment, pneumatic systems, and servo drives, with coordination with suppliers for parts. Training is provided, and safety PPE is required on site.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of electrical maintenance experience preferred.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Basic component and assembly process knowledge.
• 1 to 3 years robotic experience preferred.
• Experience with Cognex, Banner, Allen Bradley and Keyence automation equipment preferred.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Basic reading/writing/ verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and modify detailed engineering drawings and prints to adjust, test and repair equipment.
• Enter data in SAP PM (Plant maintenance).
• Program and troubleshoot PLC, robotics and vision systems.
• Troubleshoot automation manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic systems and servo drives.
• Interface with suppliers for maintenance parts.
• Understand and apply engineering specifications, Change Orders, and SOPs.
• Support daily production requirements.
• Support engineering project related activities.
