Job summary

Delkor Systems, Inc. in Minnesota seeks a senior Controls Engineer to lead design, development, and integration of automation platforms for new packaging machinery lines in Saint Paul.

You will own the product development lifecycle from concept to field test, mentor engineers, and drive safety compliance with OSHA and industry directives. Collaborating with Sales, Project Management and Service, you will deliver robust control systems, manage timelines and costs, and continuously improve code

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering or two-year degree in Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 6 years of experience with servo-driven high-speed machinery.
• Experience with Rockwell Automation PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix), VFDs (PowerFlex525/527), servo drives, HMIs.

Responsibilities

• Estimate time and material costs for new product machinery quotes.
• Develop automation specifications and cost targets; publish for milestone reviews.
• Lead and direct engineering efforts for new equipment and machinery lines.
• Provide technical project management from order entry through field test completion.
• Ensure safety standards compliance (OSHA, machinery directives).
