Job summary

Marvin in Minnesota seeks an Automation Engineer to design, integrate, program, and support automated equipment and control systems for manufacturing operations. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams and vendors to implement new equipment, troubleshoot, and improve safety, quality, reliability, and efficiency.

The role includes programming PLCs and robotics, reading schematics, and coordinating with engineering and maintenance for scalable solutions with about 5% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics, Automation Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years designing, specifying, programming, integrating, or troubleshooting automated equipment and control systems.
• Ability to read, understand, create, and modify electrical prints and schematics.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, test, and maintain automated equipment and control systems.
• Program PLCs, operator interfaces, and robotics.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and control issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet standards and requirements.
• Provide end-user training and technical guidance to maintenance and manufacturing teams.
