Job summary

Delkor Systems, Inc. is seeking a Controls Engineer to design, implement and maintain automation programs for machines, robotics, and integrations. You will support checkout technicians with factory testing and prepare documentation for engineers and technicians.

You will review field issues, propose quick, viable solutions, and work on projects to improve speed, capacity, reliability and ease of operation across productions. Occasional customer-site support may be required.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering (or Related Field) or two-year degree in Engineering (or equivalent and 3 years of related experience in automation and robotics)
• Familiarity with motion control, servo controls, HMI, and packaging equipment
• AB PLC experience preferred
• Fanuc Robot experience preferred
• AutoCAD Electrical experience preferred
• 3D modeling experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Create, modify and maintain programs for machines, robotics, 3rd party integration, and complete systems.
• Assist Checkout Technicians with factory testing
• Create documentation to share knowledge with other Controls Engineers as well as Checkout and Service Technicians
• Review and troubleshoot customer field issues and recommend viable solutions for quick resolution.
• Work on projects to improve speed, capacity, reliability, functionality, and ease of operation
• Assist Service Department in troubleshooting machines, either in the field via telephone or on-site at the customer’s facility
• Ensure that programs follow a standardized and structured format and notation for ease of understanding by co-workers and customers.
• Perform other tasks or duties as assigned
