Ilocatum seeks a Controls Engineer II to own the full lifecycle of custom automation and process control systems in Wyoming, MI. You will lead from concept through validation, programming, integration, and on-site commissioning, using Rockwell/AB platforms, AutoCAD Electrical, and robust safety practices.

The role requires 5+ years in automation, a bachelor’s in EE or related field, travel up to 15%, and a drive to deliver reliable, scalable control solutions for diverse manufacturing

• Controls Architecture: use PLCs and HMIs to build machine control software architectures.
• Robot Programming: develop robot paths and offline programming for integration.
• System Integration & Debug: coordinate power-up, validation, and full system debugging on the floor.
• Commissioning & Support: on-site startup and handover documentation for clients.
• Safety Assessments: conduct safety risk validations and ensure safe interfaces.
• Collaboration: mentor junior engineers and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
