Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced engineer to design instrumentation and control systems, including P&IDs and control architectures, for projects in our Rhode Island area. You will lead design efforts, review drawings, and assist with testing and startup of control systems.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of instrumentation, controls and related systems designs.
• PLC and HMI experience required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs.
• Expert knowledge of 3D and 4D design practices.

Responsibilities

• Creates instrumentation and control system designs by developing P&IDs, control system architectures, specifications and control descriptions.
• Reviews component-level shop drawings and clarifications; assists with testing oversight.
