Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an instrumentation and controls engineer to design and document instrumentation and control systems for diverse projects. You will create P&IDs, control architectures, and HMI/PLC programming, while mentoring junior staff. The role supports proposals and marketing activities and may involve 20%–40% travel.

A Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience are required. Travel familiarity with mixed domestic and international assignments is anticipated, and experience

Responsibilities

• Creates basic to moderately complex instrumentation, controls and related systems designs using 3D and 4D design practices.
• Assists with specification development and PLC/HMI programming.
• Reviews component level shop drawings and assists with testing oversight.
• Develops P&IDs, control system architectures and control descriptions for programming.
• Leads staff and mentors junior staff and supports proposals and marketing activities.
