Job summary

Hargrove Controls + Automation, LLC seeks an engineer with 1 year of industrial experience in controls and automation to design and implement DCS/PLC/HMI/SIS projects.

You will assist in larger projects, provide on-site startup support, and guide junior engineers while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team. Bachelor or Master in engineering is required, with EIT and possible PE in consideration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering from an accredited university.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) registration is required; PE registration preferred upon eligibility.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant industrial experience in controls and automation engineering.
• Ability to understand ISA S88, IEC 61131, ISA S84, and OSHA 1910.119 standards.
• Experience with DCS/PLC/HMI/SIS systems (one or more) or extensive knowledge of listed systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine design of less complex engineering assignments for automation systems.
• Provide on-site startup assistance and support.
• Guide less experienced engineers and coordinate with staff.
• Produce control system installation specifications.
• Review vendor drawings and field data for Controls & Automation input.
• Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies for small projects.
• Configure control systems with emphasis on ease of maintenance.
• Forecast hours to complete professional services and estimate tasks.
