Job summary

VIP is seeking a Tech-Advisor to support service operations at our Somersworth location. The role involves counter service writing, vehicle condition communication, and shop work when required, aligned with VIP processes to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Candidates should have at least one year in automotive service, willingness to train, and ability to obtain ASE and related certifications. The position follows a standard 5-day, 40-hour week and offers hourly pay.

• Comprehensive understanding of automotive servicing and the industry.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety as priority; follow policies and training.
• Assist at the counter as service writer; educate customers on vehicle conditions.
• Work in shop as technician when needed; complete services per VIP standards.
• Complete LMS and vendor trainings; obtain BATS, TPMS, ASE certifications.
• Contribute to higher customer engagement and billed hours; meet VIP productivity targets.
• Support manager; help deliver a different and better customer experience.
• Attend trainings and meetings; participate in offsite sessions as needed.
• Maintain facility and equipment; ensure cleanliness and readiness.
• Enforce compliance with Code of Ethics and regulations.
• Communicate with management to ensure policy compliance.
• Support daily/weekly/monthly performance reporting.
• Adhere to a 5-day, 40-hour work week schedule.
