Job summary

FullSpeed Automotive in Kosciusko, MS is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager and lead day-to-day automotive service operations. You will split time between the service bay, front counter, and back office, delivering fast, friendly, and high-quality service.

You will coach technicians and service advisors, manage scheduling, onboard new staff, and ensure safety and compliance while striving for excellent customer care and repeat business.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a retail, automotive service, or customer-facing leadership role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment that includes time in the service bay.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills; comfortable using point-of-sale and inventory systems.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and some holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations, stepping in to lead the location in the manager's absence.
• Coach, train, and motivate technicians and service advisors to deliver high-quality service.
• Assist with scheduling to ensure proper coverage during peak hours and busy seasons.
• Onboard and train new team members on service procedures, POS systems, and customer service standards.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented environment reflecting company values.
• Greet customers, explain services, and ensure fast, quality service.
• Recommend additional services based on guidelines and vehicle needs.
• Resolve customer concerns promptly, escalating when needed.
• Manage daily store operations including opening/closing, cash handling, and POS transactions.
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders as directed.
