Job summary

FullSpeed Automotive is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading daily operations. The role spans service bay, front counter, and back-office duties to ensure fast, friendly, high-quality automotive service in a safe, well-run location.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication, hands-on leadership, and a willingness to grow into store leadership roles while coaching technicians and service advisers.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in a retail, automotive service, or customer-facing leadership role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment including service bay time.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Availability to work weekends and some holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with POS and inventory systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Coach, train, and motivate technicians and service advisors to deliver quality service.
• Assist with scheduling to ensure proper coverage during peak hours.
• Onboard and train new team members on service procedures and customer care standards.
• Greet customers, explain services, and upsell according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Help manage store cash handling, POS transactions, and inventory levels.
• Ensure shop areas and customer spaces are clean, safe, and compliant with safety policies.
