Job summary

Pep Boys in El Paso, TX is seeking an automotive sales and service associate to guide customers, schedule appointments, perform express services, and assist at the register. You will help maintain a safe, organized shop and learn product and service knowledge to improve customer care.

Responsibilities include handling express services like tire mounting, oil changes, and vehicle inspections, as well as supporting management with daily operations and customer interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• One year of related experience in the automotive service environment.
• One year of sales experience preferred.
• Must have basic knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions. Ability to apply mathematical formulas to calculate commissions and discounts.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work Days, Nights, Weekends, Holidays.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for customers on the phone and in the store. Engage customers, schedule appointments, build trust, understand needs, communicate processes and timelines, and sell parts and service.
• Organize and manage service business through work orders and register transactions, vehicle inspections, and knowledge of parts and service.
• Assist management with customer care, work orders, register assistance, facility maintenance, and Outside Purchase (OP) ordering.
• Adhere to cash, credit, check, refund and return policies; work with management on customer service issues.
