Job summary

VIP, Inc. in Manchester, CT is seeking a Manager-in-Training (M.I.T.) to develop leadership skills and prepare to run a location. The M.I.T. will learn VIP's management processes, ensure safety, and deliver an outstanding customer experience while meeting program standards.

This role requires strong people leadership, excellent communication, and a solid automotive service background. The M.I.T. will hire and develop staff, supervise daily operations, and coordinate training to align with VIP

Qualifications

• Two years related experience in automotive service management.
• Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current, valid driver's license in state of residence.
• ASE Certification C1- Service Consultant recommended.
• ASE Certification P2- Parts Specialist recommended.
• ASE Certification G1- Maintenance and light repair recommended.
• State Inspection License required (where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Ensure workplace safety is Priority #1 and enforce safety policies.
• Learn VIP processes and prepare to lead a team to deliver a superior customer experience.
• Hire and develop a high-performing associates team.
• Schedule staff to meet customer needs across all hours of operation.
• Coordinate training and ensure LMS and vendor training completion.
• Supervise service desk operations and ensure compliance with VIP standards.
• Dispatch work orders to technicians following first-available rule.
• Attend off-site trainings as needed.
