Job summary

The Colonial Group seeks a Manager-in-Training (M.I.T.) to learn our management processes and lead a team to deliver safe, high-quality automotive service. You will support the Service Manager, ensure safety compliance, and help drive VIP programs and standards at the location.

You will develop the team through LMS and vendor training, hire and coach associates, schedule for all hours of operation, and participate in regular meetings and performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Must prioritize workplace safety and follow all safety training.
• Learn VIP management processes to lead a team and deliver exceptional customer experience.
• Ensure associates complete LMS training and vendor training; certify with T.I.A basic automotive service.
• Assist in hiring and developing a high-performing team; coach staff toward ASE certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise staff to ensure safe operations and compliance with policies.
• Schedule team to meet customer needs across all hours of operation.
• Communicate effectively with team via daily huddles and store meetings; monitor emails for appointments.
• Train and support staff in the 5 for 5 process to educate customers about vehicle conditions and solutions.
• Control work order dispatch to technicians using first-available guideline; attend training as needed.
• Maintain facility and equipment cleanliness and safety; ensure readiness of service desk each day.
• Enforce Code of Ethics and compliance with regulations; serve as policy administrator at location.
