Job summary

SpeeDee - A Plus Automotive is seeking a District Manager in Training (DMT) to grow into a multi-unit leadership role. You will learn our POS system, processes, and operations by running a store for 3–6 months, then promote to a District Manager role by proving strong leadership and consistent performance.

The role emphasizes hands-on store leadership, accountability, and driving results while building a robust talent pipeline and ensuring top-notch customer experience.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a retail store.
• Ability to recruit and build a talent pipeline.
• Strong leadership with ability to coach and develop others.
• Track record of improving KPIs and profitability.
• Proficient in payroll and scheduling processes.
• Excellent communication and team motivation.
• Comfort with training new managers.

Responsibilities

• Perform all General Manager duties while in training.
• Ensure locations open on time and staffed for needs.
• Monitor daily KPIs and mid-day performance checks.
• Adjust operations to improve performance and control labor.
• Submit daily recap emails detailing challenges, opportunities and wins.
• Prepare weekly goal improvement plans.
• Lead, motivate, and hold team accountable.
• Handle customer concerns and warranty issues over $100.
• Complete Personal Action Forms (PAFs) for employee changes.
• Recruit, hire, and build a strong talent pipeline.
• Manage customer feedback and online reviews.
• Verify payroll accuracy weekly.
• Manage inventory and approve budgeted orders.
• Ensure professional communications via emails.
• Promote initiatives and incentives; support company programs.
• Complete administrative tasks by Monday 8 AM.
