Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking an engaging associate to drive customer interactions at the service desk, sales floor, and register. You will assist with appointments, explain processes, and sell parts and services to keep vehicles running efficiently.

Responsibilities include handling work orders, maintaining shop organization, and adhering to cash and safety policies while providing excellent customer service and technical knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• One year of related experience in automotive service environment.
• One year of sales experience preferred.
• Must have basic math for commissions and discounts.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work Days, Nights, Weekends, Holidays.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for customers on phone and in store; engage customers, schedule appointments, upsell parts and service.
• Organize and manage service business through work orders and register transactions; perform vehicle inspections and know parts and service offerings.
• Assist in various customer care tasks, work orders, register assistance, and store maintenance.
• Follow policies on cash, credit, check, refunds, and returns; address customer service issues and opportunities.
• Conduct routine express automotive services: tire mounting, balancing, rotations, oil changes, fluid top-offs, lubrications, filters, bulbs, battery testing.
• Ensure safety procedures and torque/oil services follow SOP directives.
• Collaborate with management to maintain a safe work environment and compliance with laws and policies.
• Communicate effectively with associates, management, and customers.
