Job summary

Pep Boys is hiring at our Florida store for a Customer Care/Service Desk role. You will engage customers on the phone and in person, schedule appointments, and sell parts and services to keep vehicles running at peak efficiency.

You will also handle work orders and register transactions, assist with store operations, and follow all cash and policy procedures while delivering excellent service. A valid driver's license and 1 year of automotive service experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• One year of related experience in the automotive service environment.
• One year of sales experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic math concepts for commissions and discounts.
• Strong verbal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work Days, Nights, Weekends, Holidays.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for customers on the phone and in the store, engaging customers, scheduling appointments, and selling parts and service.
• Organize and manage service business through work orders, register transactions, and vehicle inspections.
• Assist in customer care, work orders, and store operations under management guidance.
• Follow policies for cash, credit, refunds and returns; address issues and opportunities with the management team.
• Conduct express automotive services including tire work, oil changes, fluid top-offs, and inspections.
• Ensure safety procedures and proper wheel torque and oil changes per SOPs.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized shop; adhere to policies and environmental rules.
• Other duties as assigned.
