Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Sales Consultant Trainee to build genuine relationships with customers and guide them to the right vehicle. You will receive paid training and mentorship to succeed in auto sales, with opportunities to grow into a mentor, manager, or business leader.

As part of a nationwide used-car retailer, you will help customers through appraisals, test drives, financing, and documentation while staying informed about promotions and CarMax products.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or customer service in retail or similar environments preferred.
• Strong listening and communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfort with technology for processing transactions and accessing inventory information.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in finding vehicles that fit their needs using knowledge of CarMax inventory.
• Guide customers through the process, including appraisals, test drives, and financing applications.
• Deliver an exceptional experience with active listening and clear information.
• Complete accurate documentation for all transactions to ensure a smooth process.
• Collaborate with team to meet customer needs and store goals.
