Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts in Illinois is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. This role will also assume shift management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.

You will lead team members in delivering excellent customer service, supervise service programs, and ensure accurate processing of orders, transfers, and invoicing.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom including execution of customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot).
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders; contact customers on shipment arrivals as needed.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently per procedure using the electronic ledger.
• Ensure returns and exchanges are processed accurately; issue refunds with correct payment methods.
• Invoicing of all merchandise including core charges and warranties before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure adherence to posted work schedule; clock-in/out per policy; manage day-end procedures and secure deposits.
• Perform all store opening/closing duties and maintain security measures.
• All other duties as assigned.
