Genuine Parts Company (GPC) is seeking a NAPA Counter Sales associate to be the face of our retail store, delivering automotive parts solutions and friendly, knowledgeable service to customers in person or by phone.

You’ll leverage parts knowledge to assist teammates, contribute to a positive customer experience, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with a focus on service excellence and growth opportunities through internal career paths.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Experience in a parts store or automotive industry or willingness to learn.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Technical or Trade school courses or degree.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Love fast paced retail environments.
• Great listening skills and empathy for customers.
• Background and/or passion for automotive industry, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership.
• Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, auto body/collision.
• Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems.
• Entirely customer-centric.
• ASE Certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide auto parts answers and solutions for customers in person at the counter or over the phone.
• Use parts knowledge to assist other team members in answering customer questions.
• Provide outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone entering the store.
• Bring customer focus and high energy to a fast-paced environment.
• Welcome customers into the store and engage to provide a positive experience.
• Use technology (computer), cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system.
