Job summary

Travelers in Hartford, CT is seeking a Claim Rep, Auto Liability, to manage and investigate low to moderate complexity injury and/or property damage claims with a focus on accuracy and customer service. You will work with customers, claimants, attorneys, and other parties to resolve claims efficiently, while upholding professionalism and empathy.

The role includes training and coaching of less experienced staff and requires the ability to learn new tools and maintain compliance with state

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree as part of ideal candidate qualifications
• Two years of bodily injury claim experience
• Active adjuster license where required by state law
• Experience with claims management systems and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Manage an active caseload of injury and/or property damage claims from first notice of loss through resolution within level of authority
• Investigate information by contacting parties to determine coverage, liability, and reserves
• Provide timely and professional communication to customers, counsel, vendors and stakeholders
• Negotiate settlements within authority and issue payments timely and accurately
• Maintain accurate records in claim management systems
• Acquire and maintain required Insurance Licenses within three months of starting
