Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking a Claim Representative, General Liability, to manage low-to-moderate complexity injury or property damage claims with professionalism and empathy. You will interact with customers, claimants, attorneys, and other parties to resolve claims accurately while maintaining timely reserves and payments.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree, 2+ years of liability experience, an active adjuster license, strong communications, and proven negotiation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Two years of liability, bodily injury or comparable experience.
• Active adjuster license as required by state law.
• Experience with claims management systems and MS Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze situations and exercise sound judgment.
• Strong customer service and empathy.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume workload.
• Proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage active caseload from first notice through resolution within level of authority.
• Investigate information with relevant parties to determine coverage and liability.
• Provide timely, professional communication to customers, counsel, vendors, internal stakeholders.
• Negotiate settlements and issue payments timely and accurately.
• Maintain accurate records in claims management systems.
• Adapt to new technology implementations and AI tools while maintaining productivity.
• Acquire and maintain required state licenses within three months of starting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
