Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking a Claims Representative in auto liability to manage and investigate injury and property damage claims with professionalism and empathy. You will determine coverage, evaluate liability, and establish reserves while communicating with customers, attorneys and vendors.

Ideal candidates bring a valid adjuster license where required, strong Excel and claims-system experience, and a commitment to accurate, timely payments and service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2 years bodily injury claim experience.
• Active adjuster license where required by state law.
• Experience with claims management systems and MS Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze situations and exercise sound judgement.
• Strong customer service skills and empathy.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume workloads.
• Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt.
• Knowledge of insurance principles and state regulations.
• Policy language comprehension.

Responsibilities

• Manage an active caseload from first notice through resolution within authority.
• Investigate to determine coverage, liability, and reserves; leverage internal resources.
• Provide timely communications to customers, counsel, vendors and stakeholders.
• Negotiate settlements within authority and issue payments accurately.
• Handle low complexity litigation.
• Maintain accurate records in claim management systems.
• Adapt to new technology and AI tool rollouts while maintaining productivity.
• Acquire and maintain required Insurance licenses within three months.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
