Job summary

Progressive is seeking an auto damage claims adjuster to serve as the main contact with customers, directing the repair process from start to finish. You’ll manage your own workload, negotiate with body shops, and assess liability while working largely in the field within your designated area.

The role includes occasional office reporting, a company car, and driving within the San Francisco Bay Area. Candidates should reside in the CA area near SF, Daly City, Brisbane, South San Francisco,

Qualifications

• Four years of relevant work experience with one year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance; comply with Progressive driving standards.
• Ability to work in the field and occasionally report to an office within Progressive guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle inspections, write estimates, determine total loss evaluations, and set clear expectations and timelines.
• Negotiate repair process with body shops.
• Document information related to the claim and make decisions in line with standards and local laws.
• Evaluate and handle claim payments and resolution of claims without payments.
• Review and determine validity of any supplement requests.
