Job summary

Progressive is hiring an auto damage claims adjuster in California. The role serves as the primary contact for customers, guiding the repair process from start to finish, negotiating with body shops, and managing claims end-to-end. You may travel within your territory and occasionally report to an office.

Qualifications

• Four years of relevant work experience with one year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience.
• Associate's degree with three years relevant experience including one year appraisal/estimatics/insurance.
• Bachelor's degree with one year appraisal/estimatics/insurance experience.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and compliance with Progressive’s driving standards and/or policies.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle inspections, write estimates, set timelines.
• Negotiate repair process with body shops.
• Document claim information and ensure compliance with standards and laws.
• Evaluate claim payments and resolution of payments.
• Review supplement requests for validity.
