Job summary

Puget Collision in Grants Pass, OR is seeking an Auto Collision Repair Estimator. This role handles repair planning, estimating, and DRP coordination with insurers. You will guide customers through the process, ensure adherence to OE standards and DRP guidelines, and maintain detailed documentation throughout repairs.

The position requires I-CAR Pro-Level 1, 3+ years DRP writing, and strong insurer relationships. Proficiency with Mitchell/CCC estimating systems is essential.

Qualifications

• I-CAR Pro-Level 1 certification is mandatory.
• Minimum of 3 years of DRP writing experience.
• Strong relationships with insurance providers.
• Knowledge of metal/refinish replacement and repair techniques.
• Proficient with Mitchell and CCC estimating systems, ERAC and DRP management systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Interacts effectively with customers, insurers and coworkers.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple estimates and communications.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties according to company SOPs.
• Greet customers and deliver service excellence.
• Capture potential business from walk-ins and calls.
• Prioritize jobs and expedite repairs for efficiency.
• Inspect and evaluate damaged vehicles to create estimates.
• Identify prior damage from check-in photos and pre-scans.
• Apply labor resources and DRP guidelines to maximize profitability.
• Explain repair, insurance, and payment processes to customers.
• Maintain accurate notes and documentation in files.
• Write a comprehensive auto body repair plan after disassembly.
