Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is offering a hands-on trainee opportunity in the automotive body repair field. This 30-day trial leads into an 18-month Technician Development Program, training alongside experienced technicians to learn dent removal, sanding, painting, and inspections.

You will assist with basic repairs, follow safety protocols, and develop skills in a team environment. Compensation is hourly, with possible bonus opportunities based on performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Trade/Vocational school graduates preferred.
• Some on-the-job experience is preferred.
• I-CAR Gold Class preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing basic auto body repairs, including dent removal, sanding, and painting under supervision.
• Learn to use and maintain tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Participate in vehicle inspections to identify damages and develop repair plans.
• Collaborate with team members to complete repair projects within timelines and quality standards.
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a clean and organized workshop.
