Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Illinois offers a 30-day trainee program inside our automotive collision repair shop, where you will work with experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience in dent removal, sanding, and painting.

This program aims to qualify you for the 18-month Technician Development Program, with safety procedures and teamwork emphasized. Applicants should be 18+, able to lift 50 pounds, and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Vocational/trade school graduates preferred.
• I-CAR Gold Class certification preferred.
• Some on-the-job experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic auto body repairs under supervision.
• Learn to use and maintain tools safely.
• Participate in vehicle inspections and repair planning.
• Collaborate with team to meet timelines and quality standards.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean workspace.
• Aid in continuous production improvements.
