Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Michigan is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences through precise vehicle repairs that restore pre-accident condition.

You will disassemble, repair, reassemble, and align vehicles while upholding speed, quality, and customer excellence. You’ll work with teammates to meet KPIs and act as a Brand Ambassador of The Boyd Group.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program completion OR a 3-year auto body repairer apprenticeship.
• Ability to read job orders with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop.
• Thorough understanding of repair methods and use of tools.

Responsibilities

• Execute WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan consistently.
• Plan repair work and prepare customer cost estimates; use tools to repair vehicles.
• Hammers out dents, applies filler resins where needed.
• Realign car chassis/frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new parts and repair glass.
• Weld and attach parts; repaint vehicles per factory specs or equivalents.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect finished work.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.
• Duties may change at any time.
