Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is hiring an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences by meticulously repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble cars, aligning with team KPIs and acting as a brand ambassador for The Boyd Group.

You’ll perform body repairs, welding, painting, and parts replacement, aiming for speed and quality while maintaining safety and technician collaboration.

Qualifications

• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop.
• Thorough understanding of repair methods and procedures and the tools used in the trade.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Repair vehicle bodies using tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers and pliers.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts.
• Weld and attach parts; repaint vehicles to factory or equivalent standards.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines.
• Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure quality.
